Oh yes, I do that too for areas with a lot of fleshies. Like many of the reply, my MM is also usually the last man standing.

Coz more often than not, an army of lvl 18 fiends wun last long against a few lvl 28 monsters. Though there are exceptions (like viz sq as u mentioned), but a SS necro will do much more than a MM in HM most of the time? Dun ya agree?

I indeed bring an MM in HM, quite often even. The minions are great to help with aggro control, to prevent those bad asses from bashing your midline/backline. And they are also great at soaking up damage while you can happily destroy whatever enemie it is you're facing.

To me, that is all those minions have to do, make my team live longer. (and in conjunction with an SS with barbs/mark of pain, deal awesome damage as a bonus).

My MM (on HM) isn't full MM tho. I always use virulence + epidemic on him to greatly aid the party by spreading weakness and a lovely degen.

That's odd, my MM heroes are the last to die.

Yeah, I agree with you on this though. I, too do not run full MM usually. Hybrid MM like Virulence + epidemic, or even MM with Spiteful Spirit or Order of Vamp on a B/P hero/hench build.

very tired so not sure if you are being derogatory or just very sarcastic either way :P MM are great for HM extra line of defence between your monks and the enemy...especially in heavy DPS areas were that extra meat-shield makes a hell of a difference

got to agree with Kobey on this one in some ways...EoE in my opinion does more then a MM however I still really back their usefulness in HM!

I guess it is all down to personal playing style.

For me, i bring an MM almost 90% of the time in NM

probably only about 10% of the time in HM

But thats just me Maybe I sounded too harsh on the 'no MM for HM' kinda idea, but yeah, I apologise for that

No worries on that.

Actually, my MM is more of a bomber rather den pure MM. It serves the role of meat shields. Because they r more "squishy", they can "return" damage when the mobs squish my minions.

Lemme add some icing to it. squishiness+death nova+icy veins = gg

I usually switch between Jagged Bones & Icy Veins depending on the "squishiness" & "fleshieness" of the mobs.
